Who I am

I have been a practicing attorney for 40 years, but for the last 10 or so I have had a second vocation as a student of and writer on theological ethics, especially as the relate to legal issues. I have a Master of Arts in English from Northwestern University, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Letters in Divinity from the University of St Andrews. Since 2018, I have been an honorary research fellow in St. Mary’s College at St Andrews, and the editor of the Bible and Contemporary World journal, sponsored by St. Mary’s. I occasionally blog on Lectionary readings at the Ekklesia Project website. I divide my time between Evanston Illinois and South Texas.
